Itinerary
Day 1 - Welcome to Varanasi
Arrive in Varanasi, the center of the Hindu faith for all of recorded history, and check into your hotel. The area has meaning for Buddhist devotees as well; in the afternoon you’ll visit Sarnath, where Buddha delivered his first sermon.
Day 2 - At Dawn on the Ganges
A sunrise boat ride on the Ganges River is your opportunity to observe thousands of devout Hindus descend to the waters of the Ganges for purification. You’ll also tour Varanasi to see Benaras Hindu University and visit the Bharat Mata (Mother India) Temple. Meals B
